If we want to heal the World we need to heal ourselves first

World peace will occur naturally if we each take care of our health first. We need to fine-tune ourselves mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally and world peace will automatically show up.  We are the directors of our own lives and we need to take responsibility for our own choices to live with compassion and integrity, as our daily decisions will bring about a new future.

As individuals and as a culture, we are unable to heal or transform our lives beyond the old mentality that has been programmed into us from childhood and it is all tied to our food choices more than anything else. We can pray for a better world or world peace, we can meditate for a better world and we can work for social justice and environmental protection while continuing to purchase the flesh of animals, milk, and eggs of horribly abused animals and this exposes a massive disconnect that is so fundamental that it renders our efforts absurd, hypocritical, and doomed to certain failure.

As an International Personal Coach traveling around the world and assisting people to heal themselves we are in the belief that cancer and other illnesses are hereditary and this belief is passed down from our family lineage when in fact it is the food we are consuming and has nothing to do with inheriting a family disease.  Will Tuttle explains this concept in ‘The World Peace Diet, Eating for Spiritual Health and Social Harmony.

“It’s actually quite obvious why heart disease and cancer
‘run in the family.’
Everyone in the family has their legs
under the same dinner table!”

As children we not only eat like our family but also soak up our inner attitudes from them. Unless we metaphorically leave home and question our culture’s food mentality and the enslaving propaganda of the meat-medical complex, we will find it difficult to discern our unique mission and grow spiritually. Spiritual health, like physical and mental health, urges us to take responsibility for our lives, and to dedicate ourselves to a cause that is higher than our self-preoccupations.”

One thing is very prevalent from making the change over to becoming Vegan is the fear of the transition and having to change our lifestyle and stepping out of our comfort zone for what we have been programmed to believe in. This is known as cognitive dissonance. The social programming goes so deep that we fear change and therefore we would rather allow ourselves to be unhealthy and diseased than to rather make that change, let alone taking responsibility for our choices.

Fear is the state of complete absence of Love (the power that creates Life). This state causes Life to vanish. Therefore, the less Love manifests itself through a being, the more the being feels the lack of energy creating Life, and thus the being feels more fear. So if you feel fear, it means that you (are) inhibiting / suppressing Love, the only source of life for your mind and body. If you allow Love, of which precisely you are the source, to manifest itself more, then fear will vanish. Fear and Love never co-exist.

This is a wonderful explanation about cognitive dissonance by Frantz Fanon.

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted.  It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance.  And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief.”

Every day you must unlearn the ways that hold you back. You must rid yourself of the negativity, so you can learn to fly.
